Review: Vichy Dercos Neogenic
Hello Lovelies,
I am back again with yet another product review. As you may already know, I am a tiny bit obsessed with everything hair related, ranging from products to treatments to tools. Recently, I have been experiencing hair fall as well as very dry and brittle hair. Until, I came across Vichy’s ‘Dercos Neogenic’ hair re-newel treatment. I have heard a lot about this product in the past but never really thought of using it. My friends who have used it in the past always rave about it and almost all the reviews online had amazing stuff said about this product, therefore, I decided to give it a try.
As mentioned on their website “Between 2 cycles, the hair bulb falls into a dormant phase during which the bulb is on hold and remains empty. To change phase, the hair bulb needs a wake up signal. Dercos Neogenic with Stemoxydine, 1st molecule biomimetic molecule:
1. Promote the effective functioning of stem cells.
2. Awakens dormant bulbs.
3. 1700 new hair in 90 days
4. Suitable for sensitive scalp. The formula is hypoallergenic, paraben free, non-sticky.
5. Hair density is increased”
As we all know, what works for me might not work for you, thus this product claims that you either benefit from it (by reducing the amount of hair loss) or nothing changes i.e. you won’t experience extra hair loss or any negative results, you just won’t benefit from it. Thus being said, I decided to give it a try.
The recommended dosage of Neogenic is 3 months; twice a year. I have been using it for 3 months now and been noticing an improvement in both the thickness and re-growth of my hair especially in the crown area.
It is advised to apply the product in the morning or evening to dry or damp hair. In my experience, you would perhaps want to apply it at night, as it does leave your hair slightly shiny. On the positive note, it’s not sticky, and it doesn’t leave an oily film as some other hair growth product do. It quickly penetrates into your skin if you massage it with the applicator provided in the pack. The applicator isn’t that great, since it takes some time to get used to and I did experience leaks when trying to use it which isn’t pleasant at all. I am not a huge fan of the scent either, it has this powerful shampoo scent which puts me off sometimes, but it’s not that bad.
However, I am very happy with the results and will defiantly re-purchase it again. Therefore, I highly recommend this product to whomever needs an efficient hair density treatment.
