Instagram: Expectation vs. Reality
Hello Everyone,
It’s no secret that most people share an idealized version of themselves on social media, picking only the best images, experiences and thoughts to share with the world. At this point, I feel like we all know and understand that what we see online and especially on Instagram is just the filtered version and far from reality. Yet somehow when scrolling we find ourselves stuck in a cycle of comparison and disappointment.
As a blogger, I have been guilty of over editing and perfecting my images to make them look prettier and all together eye catching because lets be real; this is what gets us likes and views. In fact, I am not the only one who does it right?!
However there is something about raw, funny, unedited and unfiltered images that we love seeing people post from time to time that shows us that life isn’t all perfect and reminds us that we should all just enjoy the moment, rather than taking those perfect poses for everyone else to see. Scroll down to see my version of Expectation Vs. Reality.

People kept passing by, it was a cold day and I was not having it (100 pictures later) and as you can see I was defiantly not ready for the shot.

No app can ever fix this! It was in-between shots, trying to find a cute angle and pose, it took a few takes and little bit of photoshop to fix the lighting around.
Let me know what kind of pictures do you like to see more on people’s feed; the raw unedited version or the edited ones?
