How to have a Minimalistic Wardrobe
Hello Everyone,
Does this sound familiar? You wake up every morning to get ready for work, you head in the shower and then go back to your bedroom and open your closet. Closet is messy but full of clothes and you think, “Shoot I have nothing to wear!” You pull out a bunch of outfits but nothing works; you try on a shirt, you hate it so you take it off and try another on and so on… the next thing you know, clothes are piling on your bed and most probably your running late… please tell me I am not the only one!
Have you ever wondered why some of the most successful people on this planet wear a daily uniform? For example Mark Zuckerberg he founder of Facebook with his gray t-shirt or Steve Jobs with his black turtleneck and blue jeans and so on… creating a minimalistic or either wise known as capsule wardrobe can simplify your life, but it can also be incredibly overwhelming, especially when first starting out.
Here are my advise on how to begin!
Clean out your closet:
You look at your wardrobe and think “but I love everything here”. Do you through? Think about how often you wear an item and it compliments any of the staple items you got in your wardrobe. Pieces that you no longer wear simply put them in a pile for donation.
Discover your style:
The most important tip when it comes to creating a minimalistic wardrobe is to discover your unique style. Your wardrobe should reflect on your personality and make you feel most like yourself. Its important to feel confident and confortable in the clothing you wear.
Shop for staples:
Quality clothing has much higher price tag then any other. Start small and begin saving for those expensive items such as a designer purse or a good denim jeans or a winter coat and etc.… always remember quality comes before quantity.
Building your minimalistic wardrobe is defiantly a process and its not something that you could start overnight but I do hope this encourages you to start somewhere and attempt a minimalistic wardrobe!
