How I Stay in Shape!

Hello beautiful people,

Whenever I meet people, I always get asked ‘How are you so fit?’ ‘Are you hungry?” or ‘Are you starving your self?’! I typically smile and just nod my head.

As I continue to get asked these questions, I figure its time to let you in on a few secrets about how I reached and maintained my weight.

  • I do not diet:

I have never believed in the word ‘diet’, the word itself is awful! The key to staying fit and eating healthy is learning to listen to your body.

  • Creating a routine:

I believe this works best for me, instead of walking into the kitchen and packing unhealthy snacks to go to work with, I just make sure to meal prep a day or two in advance. I usually opt for much healthier snacks like fruits and healthy sweets alternatives.

  • Drinking water:

Staying hydrated is important; you need to pay attention to your body and what it’s trying to tell you. Drink as much water as your need to stay hydrated, especially during the hot summer days.

  • Healthy eating:

Food is something that we all enjoy and eating healthy doesn’t necessary mean you don’t get to enjoy your meal. There are a lot of tasty recipes out there that aren’t only good for your body but are delicious too. Personally, I have replaced all deep-fried foods with grilled or oven baked alternatives and I have never felt better!

  • Strategize:

Being healthy and maintaining your weight doesn’t always mean to skip eating junk food. If you still want to eat junk food, you have to plan it. Eat whatever your heat desires but with moderation.

  • Work out:

Try to find a way to enjoy your workout sessions. I know a lot of people dread working out but think of it as something you do to make yourself stronger, mentally and physically. Working out brings your mind at east and once you get started, the results will keep you going.
