Taking care of your skin can be a big investment, and the skincare industry can be kinda overwhelming, which is why I am here to help you guys out! With hundreds of products being released almost every week (literally) and the emergence of another ‘must-have/secret’ ingredient, it can be hard to determine what products you really need and what just a trend.
As a self-proclaimed skincare enthusiast, I have spent my fair share of time reading, visiting different dermatologist and experimenting with different products/trends to find the best tips for great skin. - Get to know your skin type:
Understanding and getting to know your skin type is the most important thing you can ever do for your skin. By knowing your skin type, you can avoid breakouts, inflammation, irritations and etc.… The most common skin types are acne-prone, dry, oily and sensitive skin.
- Sunscreen is a must:
It’s very important to use sunscreen daily to help you protect your skin from sun damage. Even on cloudy, winter days, its important to protect your skin. Sunscreen not only protects your skin from the UV rays but also slows down premature aging and wrinkles caused by sun exposure. Just apply sunscreen every morning and your skin will thank you for it.
- Make sure your know how layer your skincare:
You need to know how to apply your skincare products in the right order for you to benefit from them. Its best to apply the lightweight formulas first so they can easily be absorbed. Just make sure you give your skin some time to absorb the product before adding any more.
